Free creative Textile Workshops

Our free textile craft workshops are open to anyone with an interest in sewing – participants are at all different stages of life, wellbeing and ability level. All materials and equipment are provided.

We aim to provide a supportive, creative environment where participants can learn new textile skills, share skills and feel part of a group. Everyone who enjoys sewing is welcome to attend and we particularly support people with mental health problems, people who are returning to the community after residential mental health care, carers, people who are vulnerable to mental health problems, people who feel lonely, isolated, have low self-esteem. Participants tell us : ‘This is an amazing group. We learn new skills, take part in community projects, meet new people.  We all help each other.'

Workshop Venue

From 2 May 2024 workshops will take place at: Dubrek Studios Cafe Bar, 67 Bridge Street, Derby DE1 3LB, right next to Bank Mill Studios www.dubrek.co.uk.
