Framework Knitters Museum Residency

We are delighted to be developing a creative residency in collaboration with the Framework Knitters Museum, Ruddington.

Taking inspiration from the museum site and collections, we’re developing a project exploring its objects, buildings, archives and records through textile, text and digital media working with the ‘Common Threads’ Collective.

The residency will evolve during our time at the museum, as we work with the collections, staff and volunteers. We are very excited to research, plan and develop a programme of responses and participation opportunities inspired by the museum. We anticipate that the residency will result in:

•  A collaborative textile exhibition in the Chapel Gallery

• Contemporary art installations throughout the museum

• A 3D printed installation

• A digital projection with sound

• An artist’s book

• A participation programme

• Extended audience development

• Regular blog-posts on our website

• New merchandise for the shop
