Common Threads @ home
Responding to the isolation we are currently all living with due to covid -19, we developed a ‘distance’ creativity project inspired by the ‘Patchwork of the Crosses’ quilt designed by Lucy Boston in the 1950s.
We sent out packs of papers, fabric and threads so participants could make blocks for the quilt in their own homes. We also ran zoom sessions throughout the project so we could all keep in touch
We then stitched all the blocks together to make a beautiful 5’x5’ quilt .
